When I was a little kid, my uncle Nick and I spent a whole afternoon cracking and eating pistachio nuts (the super-salty red-dyed ones), trying to fill up a giant ashtray with empty shells (this was in the 70’s – enough said). Though a great childhood memory, I’m sure that 40 years later, some traces of that creepy red coloring are still trapped in my cells. I had a sore stomach and red fingertips for days afterwards, and that experience put me off pistachios….until I discovered Gilded Nut’s all-natural line of flavored nuts.
